Simon CrowtherThere are not many events on the UKWA calender where two disciplines can combine with ease to give great conditions and ultimatly great sailing and with memories of world cup grand slam events in mind it was the famous wave spot of Rhosneigr in North Wales that was to play host to the opening round of the British Slalom Series sponsored by JP and NeilPryde, long renowned for its peeling waves, rolling swells, dependable wind and long established retailer watersports retailer Funsport, Rhosneigr sits on the south west shore of Angelsey occupying a location ideal for windsurfing. JP/NP British Slalom Round One- Rhosneigr, Funsport.

17knts on saturday and 23knts on sunday. If your looking for a windy event then you've got it!
Everyone whose attending and needs a seat on the coach for saturday night's ski slope party must get their name down on the list with Dave at funsport- 01407 810899. Don't end up dissapointed and stranded on saturday night!

logistics-

there is a public car park the library just off the high street, I suggest parking in there then using my truck to transport the kit down to the shop. There is good storage space behind the shop now that the container has been moved; kit can be stored there overnight. As long as it’s not too windy then I will set up a rigging area on the beach in front of the shop with Harris style fencing

I have asked the local boat park and launch guy if he will tow people on and off the beach if necessary so some people can park on the beach if they want.

There you go! lets go racing..
