This year the Uk slalom series will have two international events to add to an already exciting calender and the first of these events promises to be a real curtain raiser and set the tone for what is looking like a fantastic season for British and Irish Slalom racing!

Round 1 of the British Slalom Championships:
The 16th and 17th May will see Round 1 of the British Slalom Championships and the return of Wave/Slalom at one of the UK's premium Wave Sailing Location. The venue has shown amazing conditions over the last few years and hopefully this years event will deliver:

Round 2 of the British Slalom Championships:
Aberdovey makes a welcome return to the calender this year and following on from last years success Boardwise are also back on board with their welcome support for 2009. 2008 saw 45 knot winds and a real spectacle out on the water with some amazing racing and sailing.

Round 3 of the British Slalom Championships:
Another returning host from 2008 is team Dodds and the guys from Wet n Dry Boardsports down in the manor of Essex. This year the famous speed destination of Southend will be the venue for racing, super windy and super glassy waters will provide awesome conditions for some great and competitive racing.

Round 5 and the last tour stop of the British Slalom Championships 2009:
Following straight on from Poole is a new event for 2009, but from an established and experienced format and organiser in Nigel Howell. Wight Air has long been the bench mark watersports festival and now the event has crossed the Solent to the South coast party town of Brighton! previously a destination of the PWA and before that the PBA Brighton has long attracted top international sailors and racing with spectators and interested onlookers lining the beaches and promenades to watch the spectacles out on the water. In 2009 as part of a huge party orientated extreme sports festival the UKWA will return to Brighton and in the final event crown the new 2009 Slalom Champions in true super star style in front of the crowds at Brighton!
